Hymn 172 - Ye Shall Be Victorious

Ye shall be victorious over sin and strife,

Christ thy potent shield in the storms of life,

By His precious blood in mercy shed for thee,

Do not fear nor from the battle flee.

Ye shall be victorious, take and raise thy sword,

Shielded with the full armour of the Lord.

Be strong to battle, strive with all thy might,

By His love, conquer and win the fight.

Ye shall be victorious all the march of days,

For thy God is with thee, O sing His praise!

He shall never leave thee, and by His strong hand,

He shall lead thee unto the promised land.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

“Ye shall be victorious so never flee,”

For the Lord thy God, He sustaineth thee.
