Hymn 295 - Foot Washing Sacrament

2010 VERSION

My Savior wants my spirit pure,

As humble as my Lord’s,

Into a basin water poured,

To wash me clean and whole.

My Savior wants my spirit pure,

Our stains He has made clean,

To wash the disciples feet,

So humbly did He kneel.

My Savior wants my spirit pure,

So from that very hour,

He with a towel wiped clean their feet,

To walk in sin no more.

My Savior wants my spirit pure,

So spotless I would be,

When wholly washed so clean I’ll stand,

My Lord shall live in me.

(REFRAIN)

To enter Heav’n, that joyful realm,

To be so free from sin,

We’ll wash our feet, His word we’ll keep,

We’ll have a part with Him.
